Signed Performance of “This Wonderful Life”
December 14

This special event is made possible by PNC

Cape May Stage & PNC has scheduled a sign language interpreted performance during “This Wonderful Life” to encourage people who are Deaf and hard of hearing to attend the theatre on Sunday, December 14th. The primary aim is to ensure that all Deaf people have access to theatre through the provision of high quality ASL (American Sign Language) interpreted performances. An ASL interpreted performance is, in basic terms, a performance during which the vocal line is interpreted into sign language. The impetus behind these scheduling these performances has evolved out of a need not only to cater for Deaf and hard of hearing audiences, but also for the organization to be sensitive to and better educated about the issues and practice of providing ASL interpreted performances.

“This Wonderful Night” for Sea Horse Farm December 20th
December 20

As of way of saying THANK YOU to Gary Weeks and Jenna Riker of Sea Horse Farm for generously donating the grounds for our “Blues and BBQ at the Barn” fundraiser this October, we’ve dedicated Saturday evening December 20th as “Sea Horse Farm Night at the Theatre.” So often money is donated for arts and sports, but rarely horseback riding, and on this special night Cape May Stage will donate 20% of the box office proceeds to the Farm’s Horseback Riding Scholarship fund and help a student out in 2009! We hope you’ll save the date and join us to make it a sold-out performance!
