Cape May Stage's Capital Campaign

At Cape May Stage we feel that Cape May's place as a cultural destination deserves to be celebrated and we believe we've found a way to give the town, its residents and visitors the facility they deserve. The perfect marriage of the old and the new - we are renovating our home, the former Cape Island Presbyterian Church, a key building in this National landmark City, into a state-of-the art performance facility. Our vision, PROJECT ENCORE, is now in the final phase of restoring this historic structure, and at the same time creating a theatre on par with any regional professional theatre in the land. It will allow us to provide Cape May with more professional productions, attract higher profile artists, provide a better audience experience, and develop more effective community outreach programs.

Cape May Stage is in the process of raising the last $100,000 of a $1.4 million effort to fund Project Encore. These funds are needed to pay off the debt incurred for the restoration of the interior ceiling and walls, new lighting and sound system, and comfortable stadium seating on risers. Your support will help make it happen. It's an exciting time and we hope you will be part of the excitement.
